Crystal clear verses refuting the lie of ( Violence in Quran )
It is indeed a common routine for us Muslims to be accused for terrorism wherever we go , whether it is in the west or on the internet . Whenever a Muslim does wrong and go against his religion’s teachings , the media would immediately view Islam as a religion of violence . But a question comes here : Does Quran really promotes hatred and violence ? The answer is , Absolutely not ! And these verses are more than an enough proof to it .
2:190 “ Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors. “
8:60 “ And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. ” 8:61 “ And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah . Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing. “
60:8 “ Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity. ” 60:9 “ It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allah forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the wrongdoers. “
2:256 “ There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing. “
109:1 Say ” O you disbelievers 109:2 I worship not what you worship 109:3 ”Nor will you worship that which I worship. 109:4 ”And I shall not worship that which you are worshiping. 109:5 ”Nor will you worship that which I worship. 109:6 For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.“
So as you saw , these are crystal clear verses showing the mercy of Islam . But still though , God said : 41:26 “And those who disbelieve say: Do not listen to this Quran and make noise therein, perhaps you may overcome.”
God knows best , peace .

Assalamu Alaykum. Brothers one of the main rules of following Islam is to believe in everything that is mentioned in the Quran and Authentic Sunnah. Allah (SWT) says in the Holy Quran debunking the Jews: “So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part?” 2:85.
Secondly, “terrorism” is a natural part of War. All military strategists agree that the most important part of war is Psychological warfare, to threaten the enemy and put fear into him.
The Oxford Dictionary defines “terror v.” as: to create and maintain a state of extreme fear and distress in (someone); fill with terror.
Aggression and Terrorism are not the same. Quran forbids Aggression as you mentioned, but orders us Muslims to use Fear and terror against the enemy of Allah and our enemy.
“And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may TERRIFY the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” 8:60.
Take note that the word for ‘terror’ in this ayah is “turhiboona” which comes from the same root as “Irhaab” which is the Arabic equivalent of Terror or Terrorism.
The Messenger of Allah said in the Authentic Hadith where he mentions 5 attributes unique to him which were not given to any Prophet before him, he mentioned one: “I have been helped to victory by terror flooding (my enemies’) hearts up to a month’s journey away”. The Hadith is mentioned 3 times in Sahih Al-Bukhari (in Book of Tayammum, Paryer, and Jihad).
This is as far as the “Hukm” or Islamic ruling of using terror against the enemies of Allah goes. I didnot write this to support a specific group or to refute another; but to ommit falsehood and make what is unclear: clear.
As for the what the Quran or Sunnah say about killing innocent civilians this is another matter.
I understand what you’re saying , but I just said “Terrorism” because people always shout “Terrorist!” when they see a Muslim , but I agree with you anyway .
